Expand My Brand 2012 Startup Finalists
We are excited to announce the following three companies as finalists in the Expand My Brand startup competition. Each founding team will present their company to a panel of judges on Thursday evening, September 27th. Each startup will be tasked with proving to the judges how their product can expand a brand. The winning company will be accepted into EDGE’s incubation program, EDGE Expand, beginning January 7, 2013.
Haggle allows people and brands to “Haggle.” Haggle is a platform for users and brands to connect one-on-one, understand each other’s value, and set their own terms for a transaction. Haggle allows users to see their social data in real world metrics like loyalty to a brand, history with different businesses, social influence relevant to a brand and purchasing power. The Haggle platform gives people the ability to leverage this data and negotiate at real time with a brand to set a personalized price for each transaction. Haggle gives brands the opportunity to build strong, personal relationships with their customers, we help them not only acquire the customers they want, but also retain customers over a long period of time.
Hublished is a marketplace for expert content, like eBooks and webinars, created by businesses to empower consumers. Hublished is a social networking site for businesses to use content to connect with consumers and other businesses. Every user on Hublished begins with a basic profile and the ability to browse, organize, save, share, and sign-up for upcoming and archived webinars in order to discover new products and services in hundreds of industries. Businesses that desire to share and promote their content can create a stage from which they can deliver content directly to consumers. The most relevant content from the best content publishers will float to the top of search and sharing algorithms to reward expertise. Hublished will change the paradigm of marketing with regard to how businesses increase exposure, making content creation an effective lead-generation strategy. Hublished is a virtual convention.
Sumpto is an online platform that measures the social influence of college students. Sumpto gives free products and exclusive promotions to influential college students across the nation. Our platform serves as an intermediary for brands to target and engage with the college demographic, by transforming traditional marketing efforts into a collaborative process between brands and influential college students.
